The JFK CV-67 Memorial Foundation, Inc. (the “Foundation”) respects the privacy of users of this website, while also offering opportunities for users to share information and participate in our mission to Save the JFK. The following explains the Foundation’s Privacy Policy and the uses to which it puts the information collected. Information Collected
The Foundation owns this website and is the only user of information collected, other than as specified below. Information collected is limited to donor information, information required to permit users to post on the website, and information voluntarily submitted to the Foundation by users such as when signing the guestbook, signing the Save the JFK petition, posting information on a message board, or submitting inquiries to the Foundation.
Use of Information
The Foundation receives and stores certain information submitted by users on the website.
Financial Data
On any financial transaction pages, such as the donor pages and the JFK Store, we collect the following personal information: name, address, e-mail address, and phone number. The personally identifiable information you provide is used to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes and to include you on the Foundation’s mailing list. If you do not wish to be added to our mailing list, please let us know.
When you send a donation in honor or in memory of someone and request that an acknowledgment be sent, we will use the name and address of that the individual, family or organization for acknowledgment purposes only.
The Foundation uses secure servers to gather and process your billing information through third-party intermediary, www.PayPal.com, a VeriSign secured website. The Foundation, itself, does not collect your billing information, and is not provided with your credit card number or other confidential information. The Foundation Mailing List
If you provide the Foundation with your personal contact information and agree to be contacted, you will receive periodically from the Foundation information by e-mail or regular mail regarding its progress, newsletters, and information regarding continued support of the Foundation’s mission. The Foundation may contact you, from time-to-time, with third-party offers which would benefit the Foundation such as an affinity credit-card.
Personal information is not shared with parties outside of the Foundation or its trusted agents, with whom it executes conforming privacy agreements.
Third-Party Information
In certain locations on the website we may ask you to provide us with contact information for people other than yourself, such as former ship-mates or other persons whom you believe would be interested in the Foundation. We will use the information solely to make the limited contact requested by you and will not add such individuals to our general mailing list.
IP Addresses, Cookies and Related Information
The Foundation’s website automatically recognizes your server’s IP address when you access the site, but does not identify any personal data such as your e-mail address. The Foundation may track your visit for demographic information, but does not collect individual information about you, or your use of the website. The Foundation may use “cookies” to improve content, provide easier access and/or track visitor use of the website. Any such cookies expire within 30 days. The Foundation also uses session cookies to facilitate e-commerce pages.
Message Boards
The message boards included on this website are hosted by KickApps Corporation. Any information posted on a message board automatically becomes accessible to the general public. The Foundation is not responsible for any contact by persons unaffiliated with the Foundation to users as a result of, or in response to, information posted to a message board. All posting to message boards are subject to the Foundation's and KickApps' Terms & Conditions of use.
Petition Signatures
If you choose to “Sign the Petition” to Save the JFK, you grant us explicit permission to gather the personal information you provide in connection therewith and to submit it as necessary to further the Foundation’s mission. This information may be submitted, without limitation, to relevant local and state governments, the President and/or Members of Congress of the United States of America and any or all administrative or executive branches thereof, news publications and agencies, and the general public. For purposes of the petition, we will treat your name, city, state, and comments as public information. Compilations of the petition, with your comments, if any, may be provided to the President and legislators, local or state governments, or to the press. We will not make your street address publicly available, but we may transmit it to members of Congress and/or the Executive Branch as part of a petition, per standard industry practice. In no such case will we disclose your email address or phone number without your permission. We may also make your comments, along with your first name, city and state available to the press and public online.

Many of the Foundation’s web pages contain links to external sites. The Foundation does not endorse these websites, and makes no guarantees or representations concerning the privacy policies, practices or contents of external websites.
How To Change Your Information
In order to change the personal information you have provided to the Foundation, or to op out of the Foundation’s mailing list, please contact the Foundation at info@savethejfk.com.
Children’s Use Of This Site
The Foundation endeavors to preserve the privacy of any users known to it to be under the age of 18. We do not collect or maintain any personal information of users under the age of 18, and do not allow posting of any such personal information on any of our pages. However, we encourage access to our site as an educational tool, with proper parental supervision.
Modifications To This Policy
This privacy policy is subject to change, from time to time, at the Foundation’s sole discretion. If the Foundation changes its privacy policy, it will post a link to those changes on its homepage so that users are always aware of what information is collected, its uses, and under what circumstances, if any, it is disclosed. However, in the event the Foundation modifies its policies, it will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected, unless you otherwise consent to different use.

The Foundation uses Secured Socket Layer (“SSL”) technology with 128-bit encryption to keep information submitted on-line secure. As a result you must use a browser with 128-bit encryption to access the site. The Foundation does not process any financial transactions.
